The grid technique! Lesson 1 basics:
In figure 1 we see a simple red ball on one side, and an empty space on the other side. There are also grid lines on both sides and matching the squares and diagonal lines. This is an example of the grid technique, used by artists to get an accurate drawing and then the accurate drawing will lead to an accurate painting.
(FIGURE 1)
In figure 2 we see a beginning of the sketch of the ball. This can be used on any subject, by filling in the lines and placing them and accurately in the grid as possible.
(FIGURE 2)
(FIGURE 3)
(FIGURE 4)
(FIGURE 5)
Repeat step in figure 2 with figures 3, 4 and 5, until the drawing is finished. One can add the color as they go, or finish the drawing first, and then add the color. Practice this with more basic shapes first, and then move on to more detailed and advanced subjects. Soon one will be drawing like a pro.
In the next lessen, I will go through all he other basic shapes, and then demonstrate a more detailed drawing, and then show how to add and blend the color. for example, notice painting below from my portfolio.
See you next time on You can be a better artist.

YOU CAN BE A BETTER ARTIST!
Watch free video :
To be a better artist, is to stop looking at the world and everything as others do. The professional artists look at everything on a level of all thebasic shapes found in nature, such as:
1. Spear
2. Square
3. Triangle
4. Cylinder
5. Rectangle .
A true artist will break down each subject or landscape into all these basic shapes first, then
after isolating these shapes, add the final lines, and then fill-in all the details, negative space, or background........YOU CAN BE A BETTER ARTIST!
